Consent to the Collection and Use of Personal Data
In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of Taiwan, National Taiwan University (hereinafter referred to as "NTU") provides the following notice regarding the collection and use of your personal data: 1. Purpose of Collection: NTU collects your personal data via the alumni system to enhance alumni services, provide career development resources, share alumni-related information and event invitations, strengthen connections between NTU, the alumni association, and alumni, and fulfill data reporting requirements from the Ministry of Education and other competent authorities. All data for reporting purposes will be anonymized. Your data may also be used for future contact between you and the University. 2. Categories of Personal Data Collected: The collected data includes, but is not limited to: name, department/program of graduation, contact information (such as email), employment status, place of employment, job category, education history, continuing education records, alumni survey responses, and other questionnaire information. 3. Data Storage and Usage: NTU will securely store your personal data until the aforementioned purposes are fulfilled. Once the data is no longer needed, it will be deleted or anonymized according to relevant regulations. The data will only be used by NTU and will not be disclosed to any third party without your prior consent, unless otherwise required by law. 4. Your Rights Regarding Personal Data: NTU will protect your personal data in accordance with the PDPA. You may exercise your rights under Article 3 of the PDPA, including: to inquire or request access, request a copy, request corrections, request cessation of collection, processing or use, and request deletion. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at: intstudent@ntu.edu.tw. 5. By completing and submitting this form, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the above, and that you consent to the NTU’s collection, processing, and use of your personal data for the stated purposes. Please note that if you choose not to provide the required personal data, you will be unable to use the full functionality of this system.
